It feels a little weird that we are already running headlong into the holiday season. My lawn is still green, there are lots of leaves still on the trees and we don’t have much snow on the mountain at all. But, time marches on and the Holiday Lights Parade and the Tree Lighting Party is scheduled for December 2nd, at 6:00 p.m.
The hard working guys from the City of Hailey Street Department as well as all the local merchants will have Hailey’s Main Street lit up like, well, like a Christmas tree. Plus, the official Hailey Christmas tree will also be lit up for the season and that is always fun to see.
The light parade starts on the corner of Pine and Main and then heads North to end up at the Meriwether building courtyard. That’s where you’ll find Santa, carolers, treats and old fashioned holiday cheer.
Downtown merchants will be serving treats and offering great discounts to early holiday shoppers from Thursday, December 2nd through Sunday, December 4th
