Sawtooth Board of Realtors to Become Sun Valley Board of Realtors

The Sawtooth Board of Realtors will soon become known as the Sun Valley Board of Realtors.  When our local representatives from The Western Mountain Resort Alliance attended the last meeting out of state and realized that many of our affiliates did not realize we represented Sun Valley, Idaho because it wasn’t stated in our name.   Our board of directors agreed it made sense and was a no brainer decision to change the name to Sun Valley Board of Realtors.  We put it to a vote and it passed.  So from here on out, you can call us the Sun Valley Board of Realtors.  Cool!

What exactly is a Board of Realtors you ask?  A Board of Realtors is a local group of real estate brokers and agents that represent a certain geographic area..like Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey and the Wood River Valley.  The National Association of Realtors (NAR) requires each member of the NAR to belong to a local Board of Realtors.  The local boards provide access to key information like the multiple listing service (where we post and share all our properties for sale), continuing education, legal notices, current national and local news and other relevant real estate information and tools that helps us do our jobs.  Agents pay a fee to belong and the admission is well worth the price.    That’s what we do.  Drop me a line if I can help you out!
