Annual Easter Egg Hunts

April 7, 2015It’s Officially Spring in Sun Valley!
The Northwest is experiencing unseasonably warm weather and many of our trees and shrubs are already in full bloom. Our budding cycle is about three weeks ahead of schedule. So while Spring officially arrives, we’ve been enjoying a warmer seasonal change for several weeks.
We especially look forward to the weeks ahead when the wildflowers will spring up along our many area hiking trails. The wildflower blooming season in our region begins in April and continues through August. May, June, and July are generally the peak flowering months for a variety of our native plants.
Yes, the signs of Spring are in the air in our region. It’s a time to celebrate nature’s renewal in the Northern Hemisphere. Birds are singing, lady bugs have returned, frogs chirp their breeding songs, and buds and blossoms color our landscapes. Happy Spring 2015.
