Traffic Jam in Hailey

Not often do you have a traffic jam in the Wood River Valley. Odds are, the only time you will come across one is with sheep herding or crossing of the elk. Just a few days ago, we experienced just that … sheep herding.

When hundreds of sheep are herded through town, the locals stop to stare. Sheep herding in the valley goes back to the 1880’s and it a true Ketchum tradition. You can experience it for yourself during the Trailing of the Sheep in October. Come delight yourself with delicious food, culture and sheep gazing.
